We use only full grain leather it's the most expensive leather as it is made from the top layer of the cow hide. It does not have a synthetic leather coating (as usual in cheaper leathers). It retains all of the texture of the original hide and is therefore flexible and more durable.
This also means that each piece of leather is unique as unique will be every our single product.
Vegetable tanning is an artisan tradition and deeply rooted for generations from our tuscan leather tannery. Our leathers come exclusively from a tannery that belongs to "The Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium" founded in 1994 by eleven Tuscan tanneries. Through this consortium we can give you the best vegetable tanned leather.
Nearly forty days are actually needed to transform raw hides into unique vegetable-tanned leathers.
All the cowhides we use are a by-product of the food industry.
Vegetable-tanned leather absorbs the traces of our living, it matures, gets softer and darker depending on your lifestyle and how you use your product. The natural ageing does not compromise its resistance and gives it a vintage look with warm colour shades showing evidence of being a natural product.
